19. Mai 2022 – In spring 2020, it turned out that the stock of protective masks was short. The Confederation therefore commissioned the army pharmacy to purchase large quantities of protective masks. At its meeting of 18 May 2022, the Confederation adopted a statement on a report by the National Council's Business Audit Committee, in which it stated that the army pharmacy had fulfilled this mandate despite high pressure and difficult conditions. The Federal Council will pay particular attention to coming to terms with the crisis and the lessons to be learned from it. In addition, it will examine, whether an accredited body for the quality testing of medical protective masks would be appropriate and economical.
