6. Juli 2022 – The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the Federal Commission for Immunisation Issues (Eidgenössische Kommission für Impffragen, EKIF) have updated the vaccination recommendations for the summer and formulated the main features of a recommendation for autumn 2022. In addition to immunocompromised persons, a further booster vaccination is now also recommended for persons over 80 years of age. For autumn 2022, the vaccination recommendation will be extended to the entire adult population according to the current assessment. It is primarily aimed at those at particular risk and healthcare personnel.
