16. Juni 2023 – In Switzerland, around 60 incidents involving button batteries in small children are registered per year. This is the result of a report commissioned by the Federal Council in response to a postulate and adopted at its meeting on 21 June 2023. The report recommends that the most effective measure is to always keep batteries out of the reach of children.
