14. Juni 2024 – Products containing essential oils can be sold as medicinal products, medical devices, chemicals or biocides, electronic cigarettes, cosmetics, and foodstuffs. These products can only be marketed in Switzerland if they meet certain requirements. The new fact sheet from Swissmedic's Expert Panel for Delimitation Questions addresses issues related to this field. The aim of this fact sheet is to provide the enforcement authorities with clear guidelines to ensure uniform procedures in Switzerland.
