14. Juni 2024 – The Accelerating Clinical Trials in the EU (ACT EU) initiative has launched two pilot programs to enhance the quality of clinical trial applications, crucial for developing safe and effective medicines in Europe. This initiative, a collaboration between the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA), and the European Commission (EC), aims to transform the initiation, design, and conduct of clinical trials.
